Looking for a fun-filled event to do with family or friends in August? Well, the Wicomico County Fair will be in full force August 17–19!

The best part of summer is all the amazing events and activities that we can enjoy with family and friends! One of the events you should definitely check out is Salisbury's Wicomico County Fair! WHEN: August 17-19 (Click here for the specific times) WHERE: Winterplace Park Equestrian Center | Salisbury, MD The beloved Wicomico County Fair stemmed from a partnership between The Wicomico Farm and Home Show and Wicomico County to "expand on the 82 years of tradition surrounding this event." The Fair has packed each day with attractions and activities to excite all ages and keep visitors happy all day long! On Friday, August 17, you can laugh the day away at the Shaw Brothers Carnival, look at some fluffy chicks at the Chick Tent, or see who comes out on top at the Maryland High School Rodeo. And that's just to name a few! Then, finish the day off with the fireworks show at 9 p.m.! [gallery type="rectangular" ids="9777,9782"]
On Saturday, watch or participate in the Chase the Chicken 3K Fun Run/Walk (which sounds like quite the sight!), coo over horses at the Kindred Spirits Horse Show, pet cute animals at the Look Pretty Play Dirty Petting Farm, or watch as it is decided who'll be the next fair queen at the Wicomico County Fair Queen Pageant. There'll be plenty of other activities and competitions for you to see, too! Sunday, August 19, is the final day for you to enjoy the wonders of the fair! You'll have the chance to attend (and watch out for) the Skid Steer/Excavator Competition, be in awe of the furry cuteness presented at the Dwarf & Mini Goat Show, or have your mouth water during the 5' Fry Pan. Admission and parking is free, though you'll want to make sure to bring money for all the delicious fair food, carnival rides, and other vendors! Are you thinking about attending the Wicomico County Fair? If so, what are you most excited about? Or have you been to the fair before? What's your favorite part? Leave us your comments below!
