DOVER, Fla. (CBS12) — Two people were found dead in an apartment in Florida on Sunday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said dispatch initially received a call just after 3 p.m. at 12783 East US Highway to reports of a man found dead with an apparent gunshot wound.

At the Oaklea Manor Apartments, deputies said the man suffered injury to his upper body. Additionally, a woman was found dead with trauma to her upper body.

Detectives believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and will release the names of the deceased once next of kin has been notified.
