WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified the man from the FM 2606 wreck on Saturday, April 26.

DPS said 63-year-old William Cordis Hardman was traveling northwest of FM 2606 when he failed to control his speed, which resulted in him striking a tree after going off the road.

Hardman was pronounced dead on the scene of the wreck due to sustained injuries. DPS said his identity is just now being released because an autopsy was ordered to help identify him.

The crash report noted that the road conditions were wet when the wreck occurred.
