FBI agents arrested a man at a D.C. UPS store after he was caught trying to ship one kilogram of vacuum sealed methamphetamine.

After the Thanksgiving weekend and Black Friday shopping, people young and old have been flocking to post offices and United Parcel Service (UPS) stores to pick up and drop off their holiday packages. One local man, however, decided to press his luck and try to ship a kilo of meth. On the list of all things you shouldn't try to ship through UPS, one kilogram of methamphetamine has to be at the top of that list. Apparently, one D.C. man didn't get that memo. Police arrested the man after he was caught trying to ship 1,000 grams of methamphetamine -- valued at over $30,000 -- through UPS.
FBI investigators are staying tight-lipped and not releasing any information about the suspect. They are only confirming that they did arrest a man on Tuesday at the UPS store on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. It is safe to say that "intent to distribute" will be at the top of the rap sheet when the suspect is formally indicted, however, agents refused to comment further since this is an ongoing investigation. This is one of those things that should go without saying, but if you're going to ship packages this holiday season, refrain from trying to bulk-ship stimulants or narcotics. We will update this article as more information is released and becomes available.
