Who is that masked man?

Earlier this month, the Beverly Hills Police Department arrested Rockim Prowell in connection with a series of robberies that took place over the last year throughout LA. What sets this case apart though was Prowell's uncanny disguise: a life-like mask and fake hair which concealed his identity very well. 

Looking at the surveillance footage, one might be able to tell that something was a little "off" about the suspect. Indeed, investigators thought it odd that he always had his mouth open in all of the photos. After a traffic stop and a search of his vehicle, however, officers discovered that this wasn't just your run-of-the-mill mouth breather—the suspect had in possession a very realistic mask.  

Despite the brilliant idea of wearing the above-average mask, Prowell wasn't as careful with his getaway vehicle. Although he had attached stolen plates to the car, it was linked to two burglaries in Beverly Hills, which was enough to get him pulled over and searched. Later, during a search of his Inglewood home, investigators discovered more evidence of burglaries that had occurred throughout southern California.  

So far, Prowell has been charged with two counts of burglary; two counts of grand theft, and one count of vandalism; but Beverly Hills PD is working with the LAPD and the Newport Beach Police Department for more connections. LAD Bible reported that the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division has tied Prowell to seven burglaries in their neck of the woods. Investigators seem to think he is responsible for much more than that.

All of the burglaries took place in residential areas and mostly flat-screen televisions were stolen. Prowell has been released from police custody and has a court date set for May 25. That is, assuming he doesn't get a better mask.
