A man was injured in a shooting incident at a Quik Trip convenience store in Fox Park, as confirmed by District 3 police officers. The violent altercation took place yesterday at around 7:45 p.m. on the 2800 block of Gravois. The victim, a 27-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back. According to a witness who spoke to the officers, an unresolved payment dispute resulted in the 27-year-old man and several others being shot at. The man responsible for the shooting had purportedly employed them for a painting job and had agreed to settle payments at the QuikTrip location. Upon arriving, the employer reneged on the agreement, which caused a confrontation. After declining to pay the workers, he got into his vehicle, drove off, and then proceeded to open fire into the work van they were in, hitting the victim. St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported these details on their official website. The 27-year-old man was then rushed to a nearby hospital following the shooting where he is currently listed in stable condition. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with police gathering evidence and information to apprehend the responsible individual.
