(KMAland) -- The Martin Blog Spring Sports Preview series continues today with a look at Missouri River Conference girls soccer.

From now to the beginning of the season, the Martin Blog will take a look at the upcoming spring sports. This is the final preview!

The Martin Blog Spring Sports Preview series is brought to you by Malvern Bank.

**White followed up her 33-goal season as a sophomore with 35 last year. She is one of the most dynamic players in the entire state.

**These are the only four players in the conference returning after scoring double-digit goals a season ago. Douch had a 28-goal year for Sioux City West as a freshman and is still has electric as ever. Kramer has 27 goals over the past two seasons, and Pane did not show up on this list last year.

**Bleeker is the only player among the four tied in fifth with nine goals each that showed up on this list last year, too.

**Baumbach is another that was on this list a year ago, finishing with nine goals as a freshman.

**White is the top-returning goal scorer and assister in the league. There’s a reason she is going to take her talents to Drake.

**A top five with nothing but Heelan and TJ players. Something tells me they might be the top two teams in the league again.

**That’s the top 15, although it’s worth noting Marienau did sustain a serious injury during basketball season. I’m hopeful she will be able to play this spring, but I have no insight into that.

**Hosick will play Division II soccer for a reason. She’s one of the top ‘keepers in the area and state.

**This Heelan group of girls just plays everything, don’t they? Lee is yet another multi-sport standout that contributes all throughout the year.

**Hosick has the top save percentage among the returnees at 90.0% while Loftus had an 87.4 and Lee posted an 84.9.

There is more to life than goals and assists and goalkeepers. There are defenders that pick up lots of minutes and make sure the ball never even crosses their zone. Here are some of them that are returning with at least two starts and/or 10 games played.

Sioux City West has incomplete stats from last year, but here are some of the athletes that played and could return.

These are not KMA Sports predictions. They are an accumulation of top-returning players + other returning contributors + 2024 conference wins.
