CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A suspect accused in the deadly shooting of a man convicted in a child death case has been taken into custody, police said. Joshua Robert Scales, 33, of Hyattsville, Maryland, has been charged with first-degree murder, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department. An update from investigators said Scales was apprehended along Walters Road in Charleston about 5 p.m. Thursday. The news release said 34-year-old Ethan Samule Chic-Colbert, of St. Albans was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle along Elizabeth Street in the early morning hours of Jan. 26.
