Maryland is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with decreasing clouds and mild temperatures.

We began Monday with dense patchy fog and lingering showers, but clearing is already underway.

Breezy conditions will persist even after the showers and storms exit the coast, making for a blustery St. Patrick's Day across the region. Monday afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper 50s, with some locations approaching 60 degrees.

Temperatures will cool into the upper 30s Monday night. Temperatures recover from the brief cooldown pretty quickly on Tuesday. Expect plenty of sunshine on Tuesday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s and Wednesday afternoon highs potentially climbing into the lower 70s.

The next cold front arrives on Thursday, bringing a chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm later in the day. The system will quickly exit the area by Friday, leaving cooler temperatures in the 50s and gusty northwest winds.
