Who knew a ski resort would have tons of stuff to do in the spring and summer? Massanutten keeps the fun going all year long with their indoor water park, outdoor family adventure park, mountain biking, and more!
Just an hour's drive from Charlottesville (and a two-hour drive from most of Northern Virginia and Richmond), Massanutten Ski Resort in McGaheysville might be best known for its snow sports. But it's also got a huge indoor water park (with an outdoor section) and a ton of outdoor options for the spring and summer. If you're looking for an action-packed day to tire out the kids, check out Massanutten Ski Resort! (Full disclosure: the adults are gonna be tired, too).Water Park
The water at Massanutten's indoor water park is always heated to 84° Fahrenheit -- thank God, or the parents would freeze. (As my Grandma Brown used to say, "When you get OLD, you get COLD")! There is a water fortress, inflatable, bouncy things, body slides, pools, lazy rivers, and hot tubs. There's even one of those surfing simulators: the FlowRider® Endless Wave. There are different hours and rates for different times of the year, so click here to get more information.Open Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, the outdoor water park has slides like the Rockingham Racer head-first, downhill water slide. There's also the White Caps Wave Pool, a lily pad crossing, and cabanas for the shade-lovers.

(For the little tikes, there's a Kids' Playland, complete with inflatable bounce houses and gem mining)! Find out more here!
