Indie media agency Digital Minds Group has appointed Matt Ware as its new head of client solutions.

Ware joins the agency following the closure of First Consulting’s Australian operations at the end of 2024, where he spent nearly a decade as head of operations.

His previous experience includes executive roles leading teams in media, SEO, mobile, CRO, data, and analytics, working with brands including Big W, Dymocks, Kmart, Suncorp, Target, Officeworks, Fairfax Media, and more.

With his transition to Digital Minds Group come his key clients including Big W and Kennards Storage.

“It’s a very exciting time to be joining an Indy agency and DMG have long impressed me with their model and approach to performance marketing excellence and their relentless pursuit of innovation in digital marketing,” Ware said of his appointment.

“I am really looking forward to being able to apply my expertise to such a broad portfolio of businesses and brands, but in particular, to continue to drive more value and growth to the highly competitive and complex world of digital media for our brands.”

His appointment comes as the agency focuses on scaling into global markets, with Ware’s experience bound to help drive growth to the expanding team.

Digital Minds Group’s general manager, Lija Wilson, said: “Following a big year of growth and global expansion for our Group and a number of new account wins, we are delighted to bring Matt into this newly created role.

“With so much more complexity and diversity in the number of media channels we are now working with across so many geographical markets, Matt’s breadth and depth of category and channel expertise enables us to bring an even greater level of sophistication to our solutions and focus on efficiency for our client partners.”
