At 2:15 a.m. April 26, an alarm summoned officers to Cleveland Wholesale Jewelry, 5148 Mayfield Road, where two front windows had been broken out.

Upon officers’ arrival, no one was found to be in the store. Someone had been in the store, however, as the owner, when called to the scene, reported that items had been stolen.

The owner will conduct an inventory to determine what was stolen and the value of those items.

The case has been turned over to the detective bureau for investigation.

At 10:40 p.m. April 26, police were called to the scene of a crash involving two Ford sedans at Cedar and Richmond roads.

Investigation revealed that one of the drivers, a South Euclid man, 47, was intoxicated.

The man was found to have a blood-alcohol content of .148, above the state minimum for drunk diving of .08.

In one of the cars were three juveniles, ages 11, 11 and 16, two of whom complained of pain.

Police charged the man with OVI.

At 7:25 p.m. April 26, officers investigated a one-vehicle crash in which a Dodge Ram truck was driven into a fire hydrant.

The driver, who was still on the scene, was determined to be intoxicated. The 51-year-old Cleveland man had a BAC of .185.

Police arrested the man for OVI and had his truck towed.

On April 25, the manager of Jets Pizza, 5350 Mayfield Road, informed police that someone had repeatedly phoned over the previous three days to prank the business.

In addition, someone has called for six consecutive Fridays and used vulgar language. The number from which the call were made could not be identified.
