The Richmond dining scene has seen quite a number of closures over recent months. Just look at spots like Missing Chopstick , which closed on May 4; the 77-year-old Buck and Ear Pub , whose final day was May 3; and Richmond’s first bubble waffle shop, Rainbow Cafe Bubble Waffle , which closed on February 26 after over 30 years. Now, unfortunately, we have another much-loved Richmond restaurant that has officially closed: 4 Stones Vegetarian Cuisine.

“After 15 wonderful years of serving everyone fresh, flavourful vegetarian dishes, we have decided it’s time to hang up our aprons and embrace retirement,” the restaurant shared .

For those who did not have the chance to visit, 4 Stones was located at 7771 Westminster Hwy. and was a popular small vegetarian Chinese restaurant offering many vegan-labelled dishes as well.

“Words cannot fully express the depth of our gratitude for your unwavering support and loyalty over the past decade and a half. You welcomed us into your lives, celebrated milestones with us, shared countless meals around our tables, and became more than just customers – you became part of the 4 Stones family,” added the restaurant. “Your enthusiasm for our food and your friendly faces have been the heart and soul of this place, making every day a joy. (Although we may appear grumpy at times). We have cherished the opportunity to share our passion for vegetarian cuisine with you and are incredibly proud of the community that has grown around our little place.”

4 Stones’ final day of operation was April 20, 2025.

“Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for 15 unforgettable years of support, laughter, and delicious food. We will cherish the memories forever,” concluded the restaurant.
