A recent incident in Miami has led to the arrest of 39-year-old Andres Felipe Dorado after authorities alleged he used an Apple AirTag to track his estranged wife and later attacked her companion. NBC Miami reported that Dorado faces charges of aggravated battery with a weapon causing great bodily harm, criminal mischief, and installing a tracking device without consent. Details from the Miami-Dade jail records acquired by Mugshots Zone show that Dorado, who stands 5′ 5″ and weighs 180 lbs, has black hair and brown eyes. The records include the charges against him along with a mugshot dated last Thursday. Dorado is currently held on a bond to be set for the battery charge and a $150 bond for the criminal mischief offense. According to the arrest reports, Dorado's estranged wife found the tracking AirTag hidden under the passenger seat of her vehicle and upon scanning it, discovered it was registered to Dorado's phone number. She informed officers that Dorado had confronted her at a hotel where she was staying with another man, demanding her presence and accusing her of infidelity. The situation escalated when Dorado allegedly threw a punch that resulted in a laceration to her companion's wrist. A knife was also later found in Dorado's truck. The estranged wife appeared in court where the presiding Judge Mindy Glazer offered her the option of a stay-away order or a modified stay-away order. "Ma'am, I'll tell you, I'll do a modified if that's what you want but I am concerned for your safety given that he cut the victim, your new friend, and he probably has issues with you moving on," Judge Glazer said, as reported by NBC Miami . Ultimately, the wife chose a modified order, which allows Dorado to have contact with her as long as his behavior is not threatening or violent.
