Cam Ward has a bright NFL future ahead of him — and his girlfriend, Nailah Landon, is by his side for the ride.

Ward became a bona fide star after transferring to the University of Miami in January 2024. The quarterback was a Heisman Trophy finalist alongside Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel and the eventual winner, Colorado’s Travis Hunter.

However, Ward met Landon early in his collegiate career when he was the quarterback at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio from 2020 to 2021.

Landon was a volleyball player at Incarnate Word, where she graduated in 2023.

2020/2021



Ward and Landon met during their time at Incarnate Word, where they were both student-athletes.

A native of West Columbia, Texas, Ward played two seasons at the school before transferring to Washington State in 2022.

Landon, a Chicago native, played volleyball at Incarnate Word while obtaining her degree in communication and media studies.

May 2022



After transferring to Washington State, Ward showed off his new digs via Instagram.

“Cook me some ramen 🍜,” Landon commented on the post.

August 2022



Ward posted a black-and-white photo from a sit-down interview via Instagram. “Destin for greatness, but strivin for the unreachable…,” he wrote.

Landon showed her support by commenting, “😢.”

January 2024



Ward transferred to Miami after two seasons at Washington State.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Landon made the move to Florida with him. In March 2024, she started a job as a marketing coordinator with Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins.

December 2024



After getting nominated for the Heisman Trophy, Ward reposted a video of his face on a huge billboard in New York City.

“Pookie🤍🤍,” Landon commented on the post.

April 2025



Weeks before the NFL Draft, Ward posted a rare photo of him and Landon together via Instagram.

In a carousel of pictures from the quarterback’s recent adventures, Ward shared a selfie taken by Landon of the couple posing in a car window.

“FIRST,” Landon commented on the post, referencing Ward’s hopeful draft slot in the 2025 NFL Draft.
