Wherever Kelly Ripa is, we hope she’s sitting down, because we have some news about her favourite Vancouver restaurant that is pretty exciting.

The Pioneers of Aburi sushi in Canada, Aburi Restaurants Canada, have shared an update about a new location opening in Metro Vancouver. This time, the well-known group is launching Miku Richmond at the River Rock Casino Resort.

Miku first opened in Coal Harbour in 2008, and later, a Toronto Miku location was added to the mix. The new Richmond location is set to launch this summer, offering the same award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine Miku fans know and love.

The Aburi Restaurant concept will join the brand-new Gordon Ramsay Steak at the River Rock, making the casino resort quite the destination for folks seeking top-notch grub in Richmond.

“We have many loyal guests who live in Richmond and with its proximity to the Vancouver
International Airport, River Rock is an ideal setting for our second Miku location in Metro
Vancouver,” says Seigo Nakamura, founder and CEO of Aburi Restaurants Canada.

Along with Miku and its well-known sister restaurant Minami in Vancouver, Aburi Restaurants Canada operates Miku Toronto, Minami Toronto, TORA, one Michelin star Aburi Hana, WA-BAGEL , ABURI Market , Aburi Sushi Waterworks, and Aburi Oshi Sushi in Austin, Texas.

We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date. Stay tuned!
