Friday brought another injury to a top prospect, more hits for the top outfield prospects, and good starts by Nick Frasso and Hyun-Seok Jang.

Hyun-Seok Jang started for Low-A Rancho Cucamonga and gave up just one run on one hit in four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking two. Jang is the
Dodgers ’ fifth-ranked pitching prospect (MLB Pipeline) and 15th-ranked overall. So far in 2025, Jang has started seven games, struck out 29 batters in 24 innings, with an ERA of 3.70.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Rockies’ affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes, held on to defeat the Oklahoma City Comets 4-3. Nick Frasso started the game for the Comets and went four and one-third innings, giving up one run on four hits. That reduced Frasso’s ERA to 3.78 after eight games. Carson Palmquist went six innings for the Isotopes, giving up just one hit, a solo home run by Austin Gauthier. The Isotopes put together single runs in the fourth and sixth innings, then added two more against J.P. Feyereisen in the eighth. The Comets answered with two runs of their own in the eighth, but fell one run short. Catcher Dalton Rushing was removed from the game in the fourth inning after apparently injuring his right hand on a pitch in the dirt. Rushing has a history of getting battered behind the plate, including getting hit in the head by bats and foul balls. Information on the injury was unavailable at the time of this writing.
Double-A Tulsa
The Tulsa Drillers scored two runs in the ninth inning to break a tie and capture the victory against the Amarillo Sod Poodles (
Diamondbacks ) 6-4. Down 3-0 in the fourth, the Drillers tied the game on doubles by Ezequiel Pagan and Taylor Young. After both teams scored single runs in the seventh, the winning rally in the ninth started with three consecutive walks with two out. Yeiner Fernandez’s single to center plated two runs for the winning margin.
High-A Great Lakes
Second baseman Logan Wagner hit a two-run homer in the first inning to give the Great Lakes Loons a quick 2-0 lead. But the Dayton Dragons (Reds) stormed back with eight unanswered runs on their way to a 9-4 win. Brooks Auger did not fare well as the Loons’ starter, getting tagged for six runs on seven hits and four walks in three innings. Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope had two hits each for the Loons in a losing cause.
Low-A Rancho Cucamonga
A pitching duel between Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starter Hyun-Seok Jang and Visalia Rawhide pitcher Junior Sanchez turned into a 6-5 Rawhide victory when both teams scored five late runs. Four walks in the bottom of the ninth proved to be the Quakes’ undoing, and the winning run came home on a bases-loaded walk by Quake reliever Marco Corcho. Mike Sirota hit his fifth home run for the Quakes, and Eduardo Quintero had two hits, including a triple and his 12th stolen base. Junior Sanchez pitched six shutout innings for the Rawhide, striking out eight and only giving up two hits and one walk.
