NASHVILLE —
Mississippi State basketball had an emphatic win to begin the SEC tournament. The No. 10 seed Bulldogs (21-11)
hammered No. 15 LSU 91-62 on Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena. It's the most lopsided
SEC tournament win in program history. MSU plays No. 7 Missouri (21-10) on Thursday (6 p.m. CT, SEC Network), which it
lost to by 27 points at Humphrey Coliseum on Feb. 1. It is the Bulldogs' largest margin of defeat at home since 2013. Here's our prediction for the second-round matchup.

Mississippi State vs Missouri prediction
Missouri 82, Mississippi State 72: The Bulldogs had an encouraging performance against LSU, but based off the one game against Missouri earlier this season, this seems like a bad matchup. Mizzou is fifth in the SEC in 3-pointers per game and second in 3-point percentage. MSU struggles to guard the 3 and allowed 15 to Missouri last time. Watch out for Caleb Grill, who nailed six 3-pointers against Mississippi State.
