District tournaments in Southwest Missouri high school baseball provided surprising results , setting up what should be an exciting week of sectional and quarterfinal play.

Sectionals for the smaller classes began on Monday and will continue on Tuesday. Quarterfinals will take place over the rest of the week , featuring a new best-of-3 format for Class 5-6 teams still in the race.
