A first of its kind training facility for correctional officers in the home of a now-repurposed Cameron prison was unveiled to Public and State of Missouri officials on Monday.

Officials with the Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) cut the ceremonial ribbon on the Academy for Excellence in Corrections (AEC) on Monday, a new learning center built in the former Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri.
