‎The Director General of Mitiga Airport, Ibrahim Salem Farkash announced yesterday that flights from the airport will resume starting at 10:00 pm yesterday, after the airport was temporarily closed due to emergency circumstances (militia clashes).‎

‎He assures that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure efficient and safe workflow, and thanked citizens and travellers for their understanding and patience during the closedown period.‎

‎He reiterated that the safety of passengers and crew remains his top priority, and that airport administration is committed to providing a safe and ready environment for regular flights.‎

Today flights did indeed resume, including, so far, to and from Istanbul, Alexandria and Cairo.
