The Director General of Mitiga Airport, Ibrahim Salem Farkash announced yesterday that flights from the airport will resume starting at 10:00 pm yesterday, after the airport was temporarily closed due to emergency circumstances (militia clashes). He assures that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure efficient and safe workflow, and thanked citizens and travellers for their understanding and patience during the closedown period. He reiterated that the safety of passengers and crew remains his top priority, and that airport administration is committed to providing a safe and ready environment for regular flights. Today flights did indeed resume, including, so far, to and from Istanbul, Alexandria and Cairo.
