The Mizzou baseball team was not going to be denied in College Station this weekend.

The Tigers not only managed to grab their first SEC win of the season, but also their first conference series win and series sweep in one foul swoop. On Sunday, MU won its third-straight game in College Station with a dominant, 10-1 at Olsen Field.

With the victory, Mizzou improved to 16-35 overall and now holds a 3-24 mark in Southeastern Conference action.

Skipper Kerrick Jackson's team set the pace right off the bat, on Sunday, as Jackson Lovich hit a leadoff home run in the first inning to give his team a 1-0 lead from the jump. After a RBI single from Kaden Peer in that same inning, MU carried a two-run lead over the Aggies.

Mizzou plated another run in each the third and fifth innings, before posting consecutive three-run frames in the sixth and seventh. A bases loaded walk and a two RBI double off the bat of Lovich pushed the Tigers' lead to six. Then, in the next inning, the advantage moved up to nine runs, as Peer, Mateo Serna and Keegan Knutson each drove in runs.

Lovich led the charge at the dish for Mizzou. The junior went 3-for-5 with a team-leading three RBI, two runs and one home run.

The Texas A&M bats never had much of a chance against Coach Jackson's pitching staff. The Aggies mustered just two hits in a combined outing from Blair Oaks alum Wil Libbert and closer Josh McDevitt.

Libbert got the start in College Station and dazzled on the bump. He threw for 5.0 innings and only allowed one hit and one run, while striking out five Aggie batters. His performance was followed up by a standout 4.0 innings from McDevitt, who only allowed one hit and struck out five batters to earn his first save of the year.

Up next - Mizzou will return home for the final regular-season series of the year. The Mississippi State Bulldogs will be in Columbia for a three-game set, beginning on Thursday, May 15 at 6 p.m.
