WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Mochinut West Wichita is bringing Korean-inspired street food to the Wichita area. The menu centers around two main items: Mochinuts and Korean-style corn dogs, also known as K-dogs.

Mochinuts are made from Korean-imported rice flour, which gives them a distinct texture. Crunchy on the outside and stretchy and airy on the inside. They’re gluten-friendly and contain about half the calories of a traditional donut. All mochinuts are made fresh and decorated daily. The shop rotates in six new flavors every Sunday to keep the offerings new and different.

K-dogs are also made using rice flour dough and come in a variety of fillings. Their options include all-beef, half beef and half mozzarella, or all mozzarella. Mochinut also offers specialty K-dogs like Crab Rangoon and Jalapeño Popper, both original creations to the store. Customers can choose from six topping options, with Hot Cheeto and potato being the most popular. Housemade sauces include poblano crema, ranch, honey mustard, and more.

The restaurant also serves additional food options like Korean tornado potatoes, thick-cut french fries, chicken, fried rice, and more.

For drinks, Mochinut offers canned boba beverages, with tapioca pearls imported from Taiwan, the origin of boba. The drink menu includes summer-ready options like Ocean Water and fruit-based refreshers. The restaurant also features coffee imported from Laos. New additions include specialty lattes like the Dubai Latte, Berry Pancake, and Brown Sugar Oat.

Beyond food, Mochinut runs a student outreach initiative called “More Than Just a Donut.” Through this speaker series, they invite professionals, such as entrepreneurs, artists, and doctors, to speak with local high school students about finding their own direction. The most recent session, held on April 28, welcomed Life Prep Academy’s art class. The featured speaker was Madison McKinnis, the artist behind the mural inside the restaurant.

Mochinut West Wichita is located at 8641 W. 13th St. N. in Wichita, KS.
