The suspect vehicle involved in the hit-and-run that occurred in Billings Tuesday night is believed to be a red or maroon, early 2000's Dodge Durango with a black grill.

The Montana Highway Patrol said in a social media post the car will have damage to the front, grill an possibly the hood.

The car was last seen leaving the hit-and-run going eastbound on King Avenue East toward Sugar Avenue.

BILLINGS, Mont. - A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in Billings Tuesday night.

The Montana Highway Patrol said in the fatal crash report a vehicle with an unknown description was going west on King Avenue East, hit a pedestrian on the roadway, turned around and drove away heading east towards Sugar Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old woman, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The suspect vehicle has not been caught.

Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash, according to MHP.
