WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A 70-year-old man is in critical condition following a crash involving a motorcycle and a school bus near MacArthur and Broadway, in south Wichita.

Wichita Public Schools said the bus was transporting students from Enterprise Elementary School. At the scene, Wichita police confirmed that the bus was carrying 18 children and that no one on the bus was hurt.

Wichita Police Department Lt. Brian Goward said the crash happened at the intersection of Alfalfa Street and East MacArthur Road. Goward said the bus was traveling north on Alfalfa and preparing to make a left turn onto westbound MacArthur. The motorcycle was traveling east on MacArthur. The crash happened as the bus exited the side street.

Goward said the WPD’s critical accident team responded to investigate what led up to the crash.
