FALL RIVER, Wis. -- A Fall River man died following motorcycle a crash just outside the Village of Fall River Friday night. The crash occurred on CTH D near CTH DG just after 9:30 p.m. where the sheriff's office said the driver of the motorcycle was found in a ditch and reportedly not moving. An initial investigation showed the motorcycle was westbound on CTH D, as the vehicle approached CTH CD, it lost control and entered the north ditch. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the vehicle and both came to rest in a drainage ditch along the side of a farm field. CTH D was closed between CTH CD and Hemling Road for approximately two hours. An officer from the Fall River Police Department responded to the scene four minutes after the 911 call. A sheriff's deputy arrived a short time later and they immediately began life saving measures. The driver a 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the driver will not be released at this time, pending notification of family. CTH D was closed between CTH CD and Hemling Road for approximately two hours.
