AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An accident involving multiple cars caused traffic on I-20 Eastbound on Friday, according to Richmond County dispatchers. Dispatch says the call came in as a four-vehicle accident between the exits of Walton Way and Washington Road. After government agencies spent days brining and salting roads, much of the ice from the latest round of winter weather has melted away. But the salt's still there. The call came in around 6:37 p.m. according to dispatch. Dispatch tells us no injuries have been reported, but EMS is on the scene. Some drivers appeared to be reversing up the on-ramp to avoid the traffic. We have reached out for more information.
