National Adoption Day is this Friday, November 17, and many of Colorado's Judicial Districts will be celebrating all weekend long.

There are many adoptions taking place across Colorado in honor of National Adoption Day. In Colorado, over 276 children are waiting to be adopted and find their permanent homes, according to a press release statement by the Colorado Judicial Department. Below are all of November's Adoption Day events in Colorado happening this weekend.

Thursday, November 16:

Second Judicial District | Denver County

When: Thursday, Nov. 16, 9:30 a.m. Where: Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse | 520 W. Colfax, Denver Denver Juvenile Court Judges Donna Schmalberger and Laurie Clark will accompany Denver District Court Judge Jay Grant and Magistrates Howard Bartlett, Melanie Gilbert and Lord Blegen to preside over adoptions for 47 children to 34 families. Eighteenth Judicial District | Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties

When: Thursday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. | Friday, Nov. 17, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Where: Arapahoe County Justice Center (Nov. 16) - 7325 S. Potomac Street, Centennial | Douglas County Courthouse (Nov. 17) - 4000 Justice Way, Castle Rock Judges Theresa Slade and Robert Lung will preside over adoptions for 25 children on Thursday. Friday, November 17:

Eighth Judicial District | Jackson and Larimer counties

When: Friday, Nov. 17, TBD Where: Larmier County Justice Center - 201 La Porte Avenue, Fort Collins Judges Blanco and Jourad will preside over adoptions for 18 children. Tenth Judicial District | Pueblo County

When: Friday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. Where: Courtroom 401 at the Pueblo County Courthouse - 501 N. Elizabeth Street, Pueblo District Court Judge Larry C. Seventeenth Judicial District | Adams and Broomfield counties

When: Friday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Where: Courtrooms 601, 602, 603 and 604 of the Adams County Justice Center - 1100 Judicial Center Drive, Brighton Judges Kathy Delgado and Priscilla Loew will accompany Magistrates Peter Stapp and David Blackett to preside over the adoptions of 13 children to 11 families. Nineteenth Judicial District | Weld County

When: Friday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: TBD, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. District Court Judge W. Troy House will preside over the adoption of 16 children. Twentieth Judicial District | Boulder County

Saturday, November 18:

First Judicial District | Jefferson and Giplin counties

When: Saturday, Nov. 18, 8:30 a.m. to noon Where: Courtrooms 4A, 4B, 4C and 4D of the Jefferson County Courthouse - 100 Jefferson Parkway, Golden Judges Tamara Russell, Gail Meinster, and Margie Enquist will accompany Magistrate Jamin Alabiso to preside over adoptions for 18 children to 16 families. Sixteenth Judicial District | Bent, Crowley, and Otero counties

When: Saturday, Nov. 18, 10 a.m. Where: Room 206 at the Otero Combined Court - 13 West Third Street, La Junta Caseworkers, attorneys, and CASA volunteers will join the Honorable Mark MacDonnell to celebrate all of the families who adopted children in the Sixteenth Judicial District in 2017.
