We're back! We had such a good time ranking the mascots of AFC teams that we decided to jump into the National Football League's National Football Conference (NFC). Here we go, the ranking of the NFC mascots, from worst to best.
*Please note: this list excludes the Giants and the Packers, as they do not have mascots.
Ranking the NFL's NFC Mascots:
No. 14: Roary (Detroit Lions)

This lion is a little rough lookin'. We've seen a good lion mascot in the NHL mascot ranking, but this is not one of them. Sorry, Detroit.
No. 13: Captain Fear (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Captain Fear is a good name for this guy. He's horrifying to look at. I see what they were going for; it just didn't land how it was supposed to.
No. 12: Major Tuddy (Washington Commanders)

Oh, boy. Look, I tip my hat to the uniqueness of a pig mascot. This isn't a bad design; it's actually quite good. It's just a pig.
No. 11: Big Red (Arizona Cardinals)

It's not too hard to make a bird mascot work! Big Red is everything it needs to be, but a bit too generic. The shoes look very silly from certain angles, but it is a mascot after all.
No. 10: Gumbo & Sir Saint (New Orleans Saints)

This is a strange pairing of mascots. Sir Saint looks pretty hilarious, but that's about it!
No. 9: Sir Purr (Carolina Panthers)

I actually feel really bad about this placement. The truth is, the NFC has some awesome mascots. Sir Purr is no exception; he just has some really good competition.
No. 8: Viktor (Minnesota Vikings)

Viktor's definitely cool! Skol, I guess.
No. 7: Sourdough Sam (San Francisco 49ers)

Sourdough Sam, it's in the name, I guess. This dude has one crazy-looking wardrobe. Nice!
No. 6: Rowdy (Dallas Cowboys)

Meh. Probably the best-looking human mascot in the whole NFL.
No. 5: Blitz (Seattle Seahawks)

Blitz looks awesome! He constantly changes jerseys to match with the team, too. The 12th man is lucky to have Blitz leading the charge.
No. 4: Freddie Falcon (Atlanta Falcons)

Again, birds are usually good mascots. The thing about Freddie Falcon is, he stands out really well. Not only a good design but a fairly unique design!
No. 3: Swoop (Philadelphia Eagles)

Swoop has a cool look! The arms (or wings) are very clever. These Eagles fans need a cool-lookin' mascot to rally behind.
No. 2: Staley Da Bear (Chicago Bears)

A simple, yet iconic look. Staley is named after the team founder of "Da Bears." Lots of history is represented by this mascot.
No. 1: Rampage (Los Angeles Rams)

Awesome design! Top-tier mascot.
Which of the above mascots is your favorite? Do you agree with our ranking?
