Show some love to senior citizens this Valentine's Day with the American Stroke Foundation’s 15th Valentine’s Day Card Drive!

Calling all Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, school groups, and church groups! The American Stroke Foundation's (ASF) Valentine's Day Card Drive is underway, and this year they're hoping to collect enough Valentine's Day cards to give one to all home-bound and homeless senior citizens in the country. Want to participate? Here's what to do:
  1. Find a senior center, homeless shelter, or Meals-on-Wheels program near you.
  2. Call the organization of your choice and find out how many seniors they serve.
  3. Have your group either make their own Valentine's Day cards or buy a 32-count class-size package. The cards can be as creative as you want! Just make sure that kids write big (16 pt font or larger), sign only their first name, and also include the name of your group and what ages/grades are represented. Don't use envelopes.
  4. Deliver the cards to the organization you've chosen -- before February 28!
Imagine how happy it will make a senior citizen to receive a Valentine's Day card! It would certainly be a bright spot in their lives.
"The ASF’s Valentine’s season mission is to let home-bound and homeless seniors know that someone is thinking about them." -- ASF statement
