WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A brand new family-friendly attraction opened its doors in Andover last week. Mega Pines Mini Golf , located at 1802 Hwy 54, offers much more than a traditional mini golf course. Created by a couple who have been local teachers for years, now turned entrepreneurs, who have a passion for education and family fun. The course features 18 holes inspired by National Parks, with nine of them fully ADA compliant and wheelchair-accessible clubs available. Beyond golf, visitors can enjoy “Gellyball” , a safe, mess-free alternative to paintball, as well as giant lawn games such as Yahtzee, Connect Four, ring toss, and more. The business is on land so they have wildlife watching as well! The owners wanted to make this business not only fun, but educational. One of the unique educational features on-site is a hand-built monument showcasing the distances of the first-ever airplane flights by Wilbur and Orville Wright, giving kids and families a fun, interactive way to connect play with learning. Mega Pines also offers customizable party packages that allow guests to bring their own food and drinks, creating the perfect picnic-style gathering spot. Guests can also enjoy concession snacks and a rotating lineup of food trucks. For those looking for a unique gift, the on-site shop features products from local vendors, including clothing, baked goods, and home décor. Open daily throughout the summer from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Mega Pines Mini Golf provides a new, inclusive space for families, schools, and groups to play, learn, and connect in the Andover area.
