It will be a cool start to the day on Sunday with morning low temperatures in the low to mid 40s. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 70s. Southeast winds will gust up to 30 miles per hour over western Kansas.

Monday will be mild again with highs in the 70s. Isolated rain showers will be possible during the afternoon over western Kansas.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will move across the rest of the state on Tuesday. Severe weather is unlikely with any storms that develop.

The rain chance will stick around for Wednesday and Thursday, but rain will become more isolated by then.

Total rain amounts through the end of the week are expected to range from a half inch to one inch for most locations.
