Walter Clayton Jr. finished with ?? points and ?? assists, as No. 5 Florida basketball pulled away in the second half, finishing off the regular season with a ??-?? win over Ole Miss on Saturday at the O’Connell Center.

The Florida Gators (27-4, 14-4 SEC), who locked up the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament with an upset win at No. 8 Alabama earlier in the week, picked up another resume boosting win in their quest for a No. 1 seed. UF has won for the ninth time in the last 10 games.

Florida honored Clayton, Martin and Will Richard during pregame Senior Day ceremonies. Clayton scored 10 points in the first half, helping UF jump to a 38-31 halftime lead. UF led 40-37 early in the second half before going on an 14-0 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Richard that put UF ahead 54-37 with 8:46 remaining.

With the win, Florida finished the year 15-1 at home and is 29-2 at the O’Connell Center over the last two seasons. Florida head coach Todd Golden improved to 67-33 in his 100 th game at UF’s coach.
