Summer camp for adults only is a thing, and it's everything we could've hoped for and more.

Remember summer camp and all the fun times and memories you made there as a kid? Have you ever wanted to escape back into those fun-filled summer days of childhood, at least for a little while? Well, you are in luck, because across the United States there are summer camps made just for adults. That's right, no kids allowed!

Check out these five summer camps for adults only, and hurry – registration is still open, but spots are gonna fill up fast!

Camp No Counselors

This weekend-long sleepaway camp was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank and has no plans to stop the good times from rolling anytime soon. You get lodging, land and water sports to your heart’s content, arts and crafts, nightly themed parties, an open bar, meals, and all of the other classic goodies you would expect at summer camp. "Play like a kid, party like a grownup!" is their trademarked slogan and, from the looks of it, that is exactly what will happen at this summer camp. Last year, the camp held sessions in Colorado and Florida, and for 2019, they are offering experiences in both New York and Los Angeles.

YMCA Camp Chief Ouray

YMCA Camp Chief Ouray in Grand County, Colorado, offers a few different takes on adult summer camps, including a women-only adventure camp and various older adult (50+) camps. The Women's Adventure Camp runs from September 6-8 and is a three-day camp that allows women (18+) to learn everything about the outdoors. Activities include glamping, goat yoga, kite flying, and more. Meals and lodging are included. The Active Older Adults Camp, which runs from August 25-29, is for those campers who are young at heart and want to get away for a bit or try something new, like zip-lining, horseback riding, and more. Meals and lodging are included.

Nature Camp

To prove that sleep-away nature camp is not just for kids, Nature Camp in Rockbridge County, Virginia, is an in-depth immersive nature camp experience for adults. Campers spend five days in the George Washington National Forest learning about how to conserve and sustain the environment and its natural resources. This year’s camp focus is "Storms in Nature and the Power of Water." The session has classroom lectures, field studies, craft projects, and hands-on activities, mostly in the outdoor environment. Various lodging options are available and meals are provided. This one is highly educational, and often has teachers, educators, retired professionals, homeschool parents, college-aged learners, and more who make up its attendees.

This year’s adult camp session is being held August 16-20, and registration is still open and you can find all the details right here.

Vista Verde

This one is a great way to get those camping memories in and still enjoy some luxury. Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the adults-only "camp" is extremely luxurious and includes soft plush robes, lots of wine, hot tubs, and even turn-down service. The week-long packages draw in those who want to experience the outdoors, and yet want to have that pampered experience as well. This is one unique option for a honeymoon or anniversary and a very unique adult camp experience!

Located in Kent, Connecticut, this 300-acre camp offers a variety of programs. About 90 miles from the hustle and bustle of New York City, this summer cam has all the traditional camp activities we love, in addition to adventures like hot air balloon rides and trapeze sessions, along with nighttime parties and plenty of booze.
