WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Police and fire department first responders from the City of Wichita Falls are working to clear the scene of a wreck on Northwest Freeway near City View Drive.

First responders began making their way to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Traffic on the road backed up quickly, extending as far back as Atwoods around 4:40 p.m.

A red sedan struck the back of a work truck, and the driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Police had to remove the door of the sedan to get the driver out, but say she was wearing a seatbelt, preventing her injuries from being worse.
