Oktoberfest festivities have begun in the District! Check out these beer spots!

Oktoberfest has arrived in D.C., and there seems to be an infinite amount of events, specials, and parties. Be sure to check out your favorite spot to see if there are any specials during the next two weeks. Here are some highlights of what is sure to be a busy and exciting Oktoberfest: District Oktoberfest in an  annual bar crawl.

Chinatown:

The official kickoff to this beer holiday begins on September 16th - 17th in Chinatown. District Oktoberfest is the official sponsor here in the DMV that sponsors many of the bars. You can purchase your ticket here that includes a free beer at all six participating locations in the Chinatown area. There are special Oktoberfest beers that are only available during this bar crawl as well. A portion of your ticket also goes to local D.C. charities. Be sure to take advantage of the deals on food as well, you'll need all the pretzels you can get!

H St:

Biergarten Haus will have specials and authentic Oktoberfest feasts for the whole family to join! The celebration actually kicks off during the annual H St Festival! The bar opens up a small beer garden right on the sidewalk during the festival. Be sure to look at the schedule to get your fix in for some live Bavarian music! There will be eleven special Oktoberfest drafts on tap until about mid-October. Don't miss out!

WunderGarten will be celebrating all week!

NoMa:

Wunder Garten, the year round beer garden, has an entire week packed with events, live music, and pop ups filled with German delacies! Between Spetember 22nd and 24th, beers imported from Bavaria will be on top along with the dozens of other beer selections brewed from a far and locally. Join in the fun for some dancing, outdoor games, and other special events. Keep an eye on their Instagram page for more updates! [caption id="attachment_4125" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Dacha Beer Garden[/caption]   Shaw: DC favorite, Dacha Beer Garden kicks things off on the 16th with a costume contest!  With over twenty beers that are typically on tap, more will be added from Germany. The celebration continues to the 30th with events for your pups and your kids.

Arlington:

Capitol City Brewing Company  will have tastings and pints of beer from over 50 different breweries across the world. There will be live music and German food.
