Baltimore Beer Week kicks off with the best event of the year -- Oktoberfest! Discover beer made locally in Baltimore and across the world!
Before Oktoberfest really kicks off Beer Week, experience one of the most debated questions: which is better, imported or domestic beer? The Brass Tap at The Fitzgerald will hold a competition between Oskar Blue's Dale's Pale Ale and Union’s Duckpin. The event is on Friday, October 13 and is free for all to enjoy. Almost every bar this night in Baltimore will have some specials and events for beer week, so don't worry about not having a themed night at your favorite bar. Once you've survived Oktoberfest, there's still more beer to enjoy! Alexander’s Tavern is coupling with Baltimore Beer Week to support an important cause: hurricane relief. Texas, Florida and Caribbean themed beer, drinks and food items will be available. And the best part? $1 from the sale of each item will be donated to hurricane relief funds. This special will happen during the entirety of Beer Week. Drink and support the people of your country!
The Battle of Baltimore happens next! The Wharf Rat is selling five of Baltimore's top brewery beers for you to try out for $12. Lasting all of Beer Week, you don't have a reason to say no! Then end the week with the perfect brunch: pancakes and pints. Mahaffey’s Pub will be selling Flying Dog beers and will have a pancake bar to soak it all up. The wind down begins on Sunday, October 22 at 9 a.m.
