Looking for something fun to do with your Arvada community? Check out the Summer Sounds event sponsored by Historic Olde Town Arvada on Saturday, August 12. This Summer Sounds event be a '50s themed bash featuring favorite songs by Elvis Presley! When: Saturday, August 12, 3 p.m.–9 p.m. Where: Olde Town Square and adjacent streets – 57th from Old Wadsworth to Webster, and Old Wadsworth from 57th to Grant. Cost: Free admission. Food and drinks available for purchase. [gallery ids="20060,20061,20063,20062"] Don't be afraid to dust off your poodle skirt and get a matching one for your pooch because there will be a Hound Dog Pet and Owner costume contest! But this won't be the only thing worth seeing -- the event includes live music by local bands, arts and crafts booths, food booths, kids activities, photo ops with a life-sized cut-out of Elvis, trivia, balloon sculptures, lawn games, and beer and wine booths. This event is kid-friendly but perfect for inviting your favorite friends and enjoying an evening out. It's the best of both worlds! Enjoy your final evenings of summer because you'll be picking pumpkins for Halloween before you know it!

The Beverly Belles -- 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Shelvis and the Roustabouts -- 7:00–9:00 p.m.
