PRINCETON, W.Va. — Two West Virginia school coaches no longer have jobs after criminal investigations.

The Mercer County Board of Education fired Princeton High School Wrestling Coach Travis Francisco Tuesday after he was named in seven criminal counts–alleging he had sex with a student.

State police started the investigation after receiving a complaint.

Francisco is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $250,000 bail.

In Randolph County, Tygarts Valley Middle School Girls Basketball coach Sarah Bell has resigned her position after she was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

Bell, 43, allegedly put her hand on the throat of a player when trying to break up a fight between two players.

Sheriff’s deputies investigated and issued the charges.

The Randolph County Board of Education accepted Bell’s resignation Tuesday night.
