Early morning, a violent incident in north St. Louis left one man dead and another critically injured. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and car crash on the 6100 block of Lillian Avenue, in the Walnut Park West neighborhood, as stated by KSDK . The shooting occurred at around 3 a.m., and upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds; one of whom ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The aftermath of the scene suggested that the victims had been shot inside a car, which then crashed. This information was corroborated by FOX2Now . A vehicle was discovered in the grass, alongside debris scattered across the roadway. While the identity of the deceased has not yet been released to the public, homicide detectives have assumed leadership of the ongoing investigation. In a separate but potentially related investigation, police are looking into reports of someone fleeing from the scene of the crash, which occurred just a block away from the homicide site, as explained by First Alert 4 .
