Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng is still at odds with the club due to a contractual dispute.
The last time Saleng put on the Orlando Pirates jersey was in mid-December last year. Is their any progress on the matter? “I don’t think about players when we win or when we don’t win,” coach Riveiro said as per Vodacom Soccer . “I think no one would like to be in this situation when we started the season, but it is what it is.
“It’s something that, as you know, is not my role to speak much about. I just wish the best for both sides in this case, and whatever I say is going to be a big headline, right?” concluded Riveiro.

Following his 120th match in black, Riveiro said his appreciation goes out to the club’s management. “I have to say thank you to the management of the club for being patient with me, with the coaching staff, with all of us to, year after year, keep growing as a team and as a group and pushing this project forward,” Riveiro said via Sowetan on his time with Orlando Pirates since July 2022.
