CYPRESS, Texas – Authorities are trying to determine the identities of two men they say broke into a water purification plant in the Cypress area, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office said it happened on Tuesday in the 22100 block of Cumberland Ridge Drive.

Deputies responded after getting reports of an alarm going off at the plant.

Video footage police watched during the investigation reveal two men, between the ages of 18-30 years old, broke into the plant.

The constable’s office said the two caused over $40,000 in damages to the plant and may also be connected to other incidents at other water plants.
