TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An African Painted Dog who resided at the Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center has found a new home in Chicago, Illinois.According to a social media post from the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, Kellan, a male, is now in a new pack. You can find Kellan at Habitat Africa: The Savannah.In March, two African Painted Dogs, Kellan and Takoda, were moved to new facilities due to important breeding recommendations, contributing to the future of their species.Kellan and Takoda are littermates born Sept. 11, 2016, at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. The pair arrived at the Topeka Zoo in 2018 for the opening of the Camp Cowabunga exhibit.
