The all-natural selection is available to ship across 13 states and the District of Columbia.
Patagonia may be in the business of hiking attire and environmental sustainability, but they've kicked off another venture fitting their adventurous spirit.
On Tuesday, the outdoor chain revealed an exclusive wine lineup in partnership with various artisans from around the world. Listed under Patagonia Provisions, each of the 8 beverages contains all-natural ingredients and is made using efficient growing practices, with no artificial additives or chemicals. They are available to ship across 13 states and the District of Columbia.
"Nothing captures the natural setting of a given location—the soil, weather, flora and fauna—like hand-crafted, thoughtfully produced wine, cider and sake," a statement on their website said. "The French call it terroir, but we just think of it as the taste, aroma, and beyond that, the spirit of some of the best places on earth."
Just in time for the holiday season, customers can purchase wine, cider, and sake with an international focus. The collection features an Austrian Rose, a French Chardonnay, and sparkling wine from New Zealand's South Island. There's even an Italian wine literally grown on a volcano, which would definitely impress your dinner party guests upon uncorking the bottle!
Patagonia also offers beer. In 2016, they teamed up with Hopworks Urban Brewing in Portland to create the Long Root Pale Ale, a classic brew made with a perennial grain called Kernza, which they developed with The Land Institute. The grain possesses restorative qualities that make it ideal for long-term farming, and therefore, ideal for the environment.
While there are 8 wines available for purchase, the company has more on the way, including organic sake from Japan and Chilean dry cider. If your bucket-list trip to the Andes Mountains or French countryside has yet to materialize, at least you can drink like you're there!
Customers can have them shipped in the following states:
- Alaska
- California
- Connecticut
- Florida
- Louisiana
- Nebraska
- New Hampshire
- New Mexico
- North Dakota
- Oregon
- Virginia
- West Virginia
