WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - With April being Child Abuse and Awareness Month, Patsy’s House in Wichita Falls is raising awareness with their annual pinwheel fundraiser. For April, pinwheels will be placed on the lawn of Patsy’s House, representing children affected by child abuse in the surrounding counties. Patsy’s House said that in 2024, there were 2,369 child abuse cases investigated in Wichita and surrounding counties. The community is asked to help bring awareness by donating. Each $20 donation removes a pinwheel and helps Patsy’s House symbolically wipe out child abuse. Patsy’s House’s goal is to have every pinwheel pulled by the end of the month. Donations will help provide essential services to child abuse victims and their non-offending caregivers in our area. Donations can be made in person at Patsy’s House at 1411 Tenth Street, calling (940) 322-8890, or visiting patsyshouse.org .
