The place where Paulie welcomes you to the family!
Never before have I seen a restaurant with a nearly perfect review rating. Is it even possible to earn 4.9 stars? Paulie's Italian Grill has done just that and didn't disappoint when we tried it for the first time. It was an unbelievable experience, and we can't recommend Paulie's enough.
What appears to be a quaint storefront offering drive-through pickup for ordered meals, really is an incredible kitchen holding authentic Italian recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
The food is reasonably priced with strombolis ($8), meatball sandwich ($9), lasagna ($12), and eggplant or chicken parmesan ($13). Our family chose the Family Feast of Pasta ($28). It feeds six people (or four people if two of them are teenaged boys). The feast includes noodles, gravy, meatballs or sausage, a salad to share, and a loaf of garlic bread.
The thick, homemade noodles are incredible. And the sauce ... um, gravy ... is simply amazing. The sweet flavors combine beautifully with just a touch of spice. We had the choice of meat (meatballs, sausage, or a mix of both), and we chose a mixture. The meatballs are by far the best meatballs I've ever had.
While the food is beyond superb (seriously, 4.9 stars!), Paulie himself makes a huge difference. He personally brought our to-go order out to our car and went through our entire order. He was so friendly, so personable. We felt like part of his family. We can't wait to go back and try other menu favorites created personally by Paulie.
