Fall is the season where beer truly shines, and 50 fall-inspired brews are at your fingertips at The Maryland Zoo's OktoBEARfest!
Held on the zoo's grounds, guests can experience the magic of fall with scores of beer at their tasting disposal. Over 50 fall varieties will be available to taste, as well as yummy local food to purchase. While you're there, take a stroll through various craft vendors and experience rockin' live performances by HotMess and Kilmaine Saints. Not only does it sound like the perfect Saturday, but you'd also be supporting The Maryland Zoo and all the amazing work they do!

Sampling tickets include a special sampling glass for your tasting needs, along with access to food vendors and live entertainment. Bonus perk: complimentary zoo admission! (Don't miss a chance to see the darling polar bear twins!) Sampling tickets are $44 through September 14, $49 through October 18, and $59 the day of the event.
For those wanting the VIP experience, Super Sipper tickets come equipped with a bigger commemorative glass (16 oz.!) and an Express Entry line, so you can get to the sampling fun even quicker. The $69 price-tag also covers access to live entertainment, food, and drink that regular admission includes. We recommend buying these ASAP as quantities are limited and will definitely sell out!
Here are some things to know before you go:
- General Admission and VIP are 21+ only. If you're bringing children or acting as a designated driver, purchase the $29 non-sampling ticket.
- The zoo will be open standard hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Parking is free but available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend leaving early to give yourself enough time to find a spot! You can find more about transportation here.
