WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Some areas had wind gusts above 80 and 90 mph on Tuesday, which would be comparable to a category 1 hurricane. The strong low pressure system continues to move farther from Kansas, so expect the wind to continuing going down. However, gusty winds return for Thursday and Friday, but at the strongest, most areas would see 30-35 and not 65mph or stronger.
