Pembroke Pines residents should note some minor changes to the garbage collection schedule for the upcoming holidays. On Thanksgiving Day, garbage pickup will start an hour earlier at 6:00 AM instead of the usual 7:00 AM. This adjustment aims to manage the increase in holiday trash and give sanitation workers more time with their families.

According to the Pembroke Pines website , to prepare for the early start, the city advises residents to put out their trash carts the night before Thanksgiving after 6:00 PM. While bulk collection will continue as usual on Thanksgiving, both garbage and bulk services will be suspended for Christmas Day.

On Christmas Day, there will be no garbage or bulk pickup. Residents who miss service on December 25 should wait until their next scheduled pickup. However, those in Bulk Zone 11 will have their service moved to December 30.

For New Year's Day, there will be no changes to waste disposal services. Residents can expect regular service on January 1, 2025.
