Phoenix and Scottsdale firefighters were dispatched to a home in the town of Paradise Valley after a large fire was reported.

The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters arrived at the scene just after 6:30 p.m. April 9 to find a large house "well involved" with smoke and fire and began coordinating resources and personnel to keep the fire from spreading to surrounding homes and wildlife.

Smoke could be seen by drivers on Loop 101 in the area of Camelback Mountain around the same time.

Officials said the fire was under control and was contained to the single two-story home. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.

Phoenix fire officials said ground crews and firefighters would remain at the scene to ensure the blaze was completely extinguished.
